About Our Mudir
Sheikh Dr. Abbas Abdulazeez
Sheikh Dr. Abbas Abdulazeez is the esteemed founder of Markaz-ul-Uloom School of Arabic and Islamic Studies, and a distinguished Islamic scholar, educationist, and community leader whose vision and scholarship have shaped Islamic education in Nigeria.
With deep grounding in Arabic, Qur'anic studies, Hadith, and Islamic jurisprudence, he established Markaz-ul-Uloom over four decades ago, transforming it from a modest centre in Otubu, Agege into a renowned institution now headquartered in Alagbado.
Under his leadership, the Markaz has produced thousands of scholars and professionals, blending classical Islamic knowledge with contemporary relevance. Known for his humility, principled leadership, and community service, Sheikh Abbas remains a guiding force in the moral and intellectual development of countless individuals and the broader Muslim community.
